Sosiaalilääketieteen yhdistyksen kevätseminaarissa kuullaan puheenvuoroja ja keskustellaan eurooppalaisen ja globaalin terveyspolitiikan merkityksestä kansanterveydelle ja hyvinvoinnille. Kestävän kehityksen tavoitteet (SDG 2030) sitouttavat edistämään universaalia terveydenhoitoa ja hyvinvointia kaikille, unohtamatta yhteiskunnan heikommassa asemassa olevia jäseniä. Ajankohtaiset eurooppalaiset ja globaalit teemat kuten COVID-19, ilmastonmuutos, elinkustannusten nousu ja humanitaariset kriisit asettavat yhteiskuntia tilanteisiin, joissa kaikkia kansanterveyteen ja hyvinvointiin kohdistuvia tekijöitä ei voi ratkaista yksin. Tarvitaan uudenlaisia lähestymistapoja, tutkittuun tietoon perustuvia hyviä käytäntöjä sekä laajempia kumppanuuksia, joilla eurooppalaisia ja globaaleja kansanterveys- ja hyvinvointihaasteita sekä eriarvoisuutta voidaan torjua ja ehkäistä tehokkaammin.

At the spring seminar of the Society for Social Medicine in Finland (SLY), speeches will be heard and discussions will be held on the significance of European and global health policies for public health and well-being. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 2030) commit to promoting universal healthcare and well-being for all, without forgetting members of society who are in a weaker position. Current European and global issues such as COVID-19, climate change, rising living costs, and humanitarian crises place societies in situations where not all factors affecting public health and well-being can be addressed alone. New approaches, evidence-based best practices, and broader partnerships are needed to more effectively combat and prevent European and global public health and well-being challenges, as well as inequality.

The event is free for SLY members. For others, the seminar fee is equivalent to the association's membership fee, which is 45 euros. You can choose to either become a member of the association or alternatively pay for seminar participation. The SLY membership fee is 20 euros for those outside the workforce.
